What is Little GEMs?

Little GEM's Daycare provides care for children ages 6 months to 5 years old. Our dedicated staff encourages participation in a variety of enrichment activities that foster creativity, exploration, and positive social interaction. Using Teaching Strategies Curriculum, we emphasize kindergarten readiness with exciting weekly themes covering letters, numbers, colors, and shapes.

Our daily schedule includes individualized learning, nutritious snacks, STEM activities, arts and crafts, ample time for both indoor and outdoor play, along with well-deserved rest periods!

Curriculum Structure

Through the Teaching Strategies Curriculum, we emphasize play-based learning, incorporating hands-on activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth. We integrate STEM with weekly math and science lessons, foster early literacy through daily reading and phonics sessions, and encourage creativity with regular arts, music, and dramatic play activities.

Preparation for Kindergarten

To prepare children for kindergarten, we focus on building foundational skills that include letter recognition, counting, and fine motor coordination. Social skills such as cooperation, communication, and emotional regulation are also key, while a structured daily routine mirrors a kindergarten classroom. Parents receive regular updates through Brightwheel App to stay informed about their child’s progress and readiness.
