Administrative Assistant

​

The Administrative assistant will be available during operating hours.  The assistant will answer calls, take messages, schedule meetings and assistant group supervisor/aides with any administrative work.  The Administrative assistant must be able to effectively communicate, organize and time manage.  This position requires 1 year experience in administrative work and front office experience.

Before/After School Group Supervisor (Part Time)

 

Our Group supervisor is a team member committed to furthering the mission of G.E.M Learning Center through the development of creative, engaging, rigorous activities. Create a supportive, positive, and fun classroom environment during program hours. Build impactful and professional relationships with students and G.E.M families. Create lesson plans, facilitate activities, and collaborate with leadership team in lesson plan execution and implementation. In absence of the Director, supervise and facilitate group during program time.

 Before/ After School Assistant (Part Time)

An Assistant group supervisor at G.E.M Learning center, will promote a positive atmosphere where parents, teachers, staff and children will interact with mutual respect and caring. Shifts Available: Monday-Friday, before school care (6:00 am-9:00 am) After school care (2:30 pm -6:00 pm).

​

Requirements: Must be 18 year of age or older with a High School Diploma/GED required. Must have a minimum of two years’ experience working with children.  Prior experience and working towards a CDA, Associate's or Bachelor's in early childhood education/child development or related degree preferred. 

Tutor Part Time

​

A Private tutor will provide 1on1 personalized tutoring to a student during agreed upon sessions. Tutors are responsible for providing individualized assistance to students by helping with learning concepts, completing assignments, and test preparation.

Private tutors will also have the option to increase hours by completing a Specialized Group Tutoring Session on Saturday’s with a group on no more than 5 students at a time.

Volunteer/Internship Opportunities

​

We are seeking volunteers interested in working with our students by assisting staff efforts to help them meet program goals of increasing academic achievement through tutoring, homework assistance, enrichment activities, and recreation.
